Meet Rita (Miller) & her husband Rick from Towner!! Eunice, Joan and I went ancestry hunting in Towner a few days prior to the Reunion, and we met some of our Miller cousins. This would be Grandma Petrinella Miller's brother Andrew's family. We met our cousin Dee who owns the Hardware Hank Store, and she took us to the Cemetery where several of our Miller relatives are buried. She also took us to the "Tavern" where our Grandma's blind brother Jacob played his "accordion" (as the story goes: while the blind brother was playing his accordion at the Tavern his parents walked in the Tavern and he knew instantly that it was his parents by his Dad's walk!) Then Dee told us about her sister Rita who works at the Dakota Farms Restaurant in Rugby, so on our way home we stopped in to meet Rita and found out she is the one who makes the wonderful pies and German soups. We invited her to our family reunion and we were all so thrilled that she and her husband were able to make it to our reunion!!

FROM KELLY ANN:
This was a memorable day... I shared a very special story with uncle Rock that day. I got the chance to share with him how his faith, love for God and evangelism was beloved and admired by so many. I told uncle Rock of how I met a complete stranger, who told me of a man that wrote a book, that had inspired him. He said it was a book "that breathed God’s love and His Grace."
I will never forget when a kind stranger, who was so anxious to share his testimony, told me he had just returned from a mission overseas, that he had committed his life to God and was inspired by this author, to lead his life and family to sharing Gods love. As I glanced down at the book he handed me, I responded with a gasp, not much more than a whisper “this is my uncle”. We stood there and stared at one another. (I didn't say this then, but I didn't know of this book). He looked at me with disbelief. His wife and son stunned. I proceeded to tell him all the details of the very man that had inspired his faith and journey.
When I shared this story with Uncle Rock, I could see his eyes water a little. If I didn't know before, I felt in that moment how much he had "loved" in his life. He loved the Lord, he loved his faith, and he loved serving others. His hug that day, told me how much he loved his family. The speech uncle Rock gave that day told us all how much he loved us.
