From Lee Leier on behalf of Bob Leier: It was an original design by some guy named Olson (Orville Olson's son, who lived about a mile from Rochus' farm). Built it one winter. In the spring Don and Bob went somewhere in MN and bought a 80 hp Mercury outboard engine. It ran about 50-60 mph on Buffalo Lake. He thinks Curtis paid for 1/2 of boat and motor with Don. Made out of marine plywood. Had fiberglass covering on outside. Bob designed the lightning bolt and painted it on there. Maybe 1962 or 1963.
