...and Fond Memories of Dad!
(Send me your favorite story about Dad!!)
From Dane Weber: I have a humorous memory of one of our summer trips to North Dakota. Grandpa Rochus had taken us fishing and he was out in the garage mud-room cleaning fish. Some Jehovah Witness ladies came a knocking. Grandpa was going to town with the filet knife, and the ladies were persistent in telling their version of the gospel. Grandpa lost patience and spun around facing them, filet knife still in hand. He lit into those poor ladies and told them a thing or 3 about religion, LOL. The whole time the knife was swinging in his hand as he spoke. The look on their faces was somewhat fear-filled. I have a feeling they never came back for a second visit. Grandpa was a very kind man and very tolerant. (For that I have a great respect) But, at that age Grandpa was not about to let them tell "him" about religion!!
